I qualified as a Post Graduate Registered Nurse in 2010 after completing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology at The University Of Swansea. I specialised as a Health Visitor in 2014 where I continue to work part time in the NHS. As infant feeding keyworker for the Cheltenham Health Visiting team, I have the experience and skills to provide additional infant feeding support to families. I completed the Postgraduate Advanced Clinical Skills in Tongue Tie (Ankyloglossia) Management at Wolverhampton University where I qualified as a Tongue Tie Practitioner. I trained and have worked as a subcontractor at The Baby Acorn Clinic in Swindon. I am registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and Association of Tongue Tie Practitioners. My service is registered with the Care Quality Commission and is fully insured with Hiscox.
My Story
I am the Director and Manager of The Tongue Tie Clinic Ltd and founded the service to provide a local clinic for tongue tie assessment and treatment in Gloucestershire (and further afield) . I have personal experience of breastfeeding my son who had tongue tie and was fortunate he received a quick diagnosis and tongue tie release. Without this I would not have been able to continue with very painful and frequent feeds and I understand the need to been seen without long delays. I aim to see clients ASAP to support them with their feeding journey.
